We are getting ready for a trunk show featuring fashions by Denise Dickens. Here are some lovely swatches of the fabrics used to make the raincoats and jackets designed by Denise:
Come and see some amazing outerwear fashions created by designer Denise Dickens on Oct. 3-4. As the designer explains:
“We baby boomers are not going down easily. We need easy silhouettes, but they can’t be drab or dowdy. I was always looking for the perfect coat or jacket to go with my favorite pants. Something that had color and style, that could keep me warm, or dry, or covered up when on the beach. I figured that other women must be looking for (and not finding) the same thing too.”
Jodie Zahner, The Barefoot Gardener of Chattooga Gardens, shares her innovative techniques for floral design including using native greenery, harvesting methods, creating the armature and placement of flowers in the evergreen armature.
Participants in a recent garden design workshop at our offices in Cashiers, NC. Mary Palmer commented:
Did we have fun or what? Okay, visiting 7 gardens in record time plus lunch at Scotlyn’s Yard was something of a blitzkreig. I loved every minute! Regretably, we had to limit the number of attendees to only 4 cars due to the private of the garden study. If there is interest in another field trip this fall, please let me know.
