Interested in Landscape Design? Would you like to learn from the best?
In 2003, Mary Palmer Dargan, ASLA created the Clemson Certificate of Accomplishment in Landscape and Garden Design (CCALD) sponsored by Clemson University Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture in the School of Art, Architecture and Humanities. This very popular and critically acclaimed course is sadly no longer offered, but 40 lecture galleries are here for you to enjoy for free as a subscriber to our mailing list.
A certificate holder is well-versed in the issues and execution of landscape design. The certificate consisted of 72 hours of lecture & design to build a fully-expressed program in landscape appreciation, landscape history, plant materials, design technology, construction and planting design. The design studio, consisting of 12 sessions, taught the fundamentals of design and drawing plans to scale. However, now you will just have to imagine the narrative & come to the occasional design studio we offer at conferences.
As a subscriber, you receive notification of design studio events, such as:
- 2011 Winghaven Symposium
- Always in Season: Ornamental and Edible Garden Design in Charlotte
- October 2011 with Jennifer Bartley
